Tom Hines

Tom Hines is the host of Slip Jam, one of the UK’s most innovative and welcoming rap nights. He is celebrated for bringing hip hop’s greatest talents to Brighton.

Hines is Project Manager for Brighton-based youth music charity AudioActive, an organisation he’s worked with since 2004.

Tom also manages the youth work team for the Tarner Community Project. Tom is experienced in residential therapeutic care and working with adolescents in challenging circumstances, specialising in engagement and participation using creative arts.

A former Arts teacher with a degree in Graphic Design, Tom has a background in illustration, comic art, design and graffiti art. As a musician, Tom runs hip-hop events and has mentored thousands of young rappers and producers across Sussex.
